PubliSphere in numbers shows the scale and diversity of the University of Warsaw’s scholarly output - thousands of publications, hundreds of journal issues, dozens of disciplines, and nearly complete open access to journal articles.

PubliSphere currently brings together 1,644 books, 15 journals, 338 journal issues, and more than 5,300 scholarly articles. The oldest articles available on the platform date back to the mid-1970s, while the collection also includes the latest research — 401 articles were published in 2025 alone.

A particularly important part of the collection is open access. As many as 5,293 articles - 99.8% of all articles available in PubliSphere - can be read without restrictions. In addition, 295 books are available in open access.

The book collection covers 31 academic disciplines across 5 fields of science. The humanities and social sciences are the most strongly represented, but PubliSphere also includes publications in the natural sciences, engineering and technology, and medical and health sciences.

The largest groups of books are devoted to history, culture and religion studies, literary studies, linguistics, and sociology. Among the journals, the largest article collections currently include Studia Iuridica, Światowit, Przegląd Europejski – European Studies Quarterly, and Education Research Quarterly.

PubliSphere demonstrates the scale and diversity of the University of Warsaw’s scholarly publishing output while making it easier to explore - whether users are looking for a specific publication, journal, discipline, or research topic.

The platform continues to grow and will be gradually expanded with publications from additional editorial teams and publishers operating across the University of Warsaw.
